The Power of Leopard and How to harness It
Let's make power moves...
As I was pondering just what to write about for Farfetch.com's inspirational Style Guide https://www.farfetch.com/uk/style-guide --I literally swooned (out loud) when I saw this article (https://www.farfetch.com/uk/style-guide/trends-subcultures/leopard-prints-how-to-pull-off-the-look/).
Coincidentally, I'd just posted one of my favorite quotes from Jenna Lyon's on my Societe Urbane insta account. Kismit.
Leopard is truly one of my favorite prints. While I am prone to wearing black, white and grey neutrals--I will, as I've noted in the past, rock a dope print in a heartbeat. Leopard is not always easy to pull off without looking ehhh shall we say cheap? The print, fabric and shoe choice are infinitely key in pulling this look off--that is in case your goal is to look cheap albeit ironically so --in which case more power--do you.
Leopard's origins are marked in the past as a fabric symbolic of luxury, power and exotic locales. A signifier of power and wealth (can someone say posh?). It also became a signature symbol of rebelliousness (I'm with it!). And now as it were and the article states, "contemporary designers can’t get enough" and "these days, it can be practically considered a neutral" Well in that case...
I pulled a few of my favorite dreamy options from Farfetch.com. Check out their Style Guide for more style inspiration. Stay Posh!
